Near Housteads Fort on Hadrians Wall.
A beautiful site with amazing views, my photos don't do it justice.
You can follow Hadrians Wall along the B6138...I love B roads... and this one is a great road going through fabulous landscape.
The fort was built 1,900 years ago and is the most complete Roman fort in Britain.I was surprised to find that joining The National Trust was cheaper than joining in Cornwall...not quite sure why...but I usually find it's very good value..and I enjoy being a member....would be lovely to be commissioned to do a bit of restoration wood graining etc one day....hint,hint !
